Repost: Islamic Museum
















During the trip to Islamic Museum, I have learnt alot. 

The Museum is a magical place with a long history of lots of interesting stuff.
The museum is divided into many galleries that display different categories of historical collection.

These are the things that I considered as interesting among the others in this museum:

the Kijang Coins


















It shows a vast collection of early Malay coinage from Semenanjung Tanah Melayu. 


The Kijang coins derived their name from the motif of the Malayan barking deer. 
This motif is used as the logo of Bank Negara Malaysia.


It is interesting because coins are the thing that we are using in daily life, but it is so much different between the Kijang Coins and the coins that we are using now.

The design that embossed on the coins are much different with now.
It shows a Kijang deer facing to the left with its tail rising. There is also a moon and sun above it.
